Description

A short length work for chamber orchestra, or full orchestra. Merry Xmas is a musical portrait of what happens when you leave the Christ out of Christmas. Christmas carols, secular Christmas songs, and other familiar tunes are put in the blender. Rhythmic, fun, surprising, humorous, and a bit of a cautionary tale make this an effective contrast to traditional Christmas programming. Audience favorite.

Written for a Christmas Concert in 2012, and performed several times since. Recorded at Skywalker Sound in 2020. Features exciting piano work in “fake concerto” passages. Chamber orchestra version scored for Flute, Clarinet, Piano and Strings.
